Histarlink (Haixing Guanglian Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.), founded in 2021 and registered in Shenzhen's Nanshan District, is a Chinese provider of space laser communication solutions and hardware, with an R&D center in Shanghai and a global laser communication terminal AIT (assembly, integration and test) center in Wuxi. Its product line spans high-speed optoelectronic components, cameras, galvanometers and opto-mechanical systems through to satellite laser communication payloads and inter-satellite, satellite-to-ground, satellite-to-air and satellite-to-ship laser communication terminals, with roughly 65% of core optoelectronic components developed in house. The company serves satellite internet, secure communications and emergency communications use cases; more than 20 of its terminals are in orbit, peak link speed reaches 100Gbps, and annual capacity is about 400 units. Founder Tan Jun holds a PhD from the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and previously worked at aerospace research institutes on national programs including the integrated space-ground network initiative.

Quartermaster, founded in 2023 in Arlington, Virginia, builds maritime situational awareness networks using onboard cameras, positioning, radio, and other sensors combined with AI analysis.

Its core technologies include the open-source inference acceleration engine PowerInfer (with ~9,100 stars on GitHub and a SOSP 2024 paper) and TurboSparse sparse activation. Its flagship product, Tiiny AI Pocket, is a 300g mobile-sized on-device AI supercomputer (SoC + dNPU, 190 TOPS INT8) that can run large models of up to 120B parameters offline and is compatible with over 50 open-source models. It has been certified by Guinness World Records as the 'smallest MiniPC capable of running a 100B+ parameter model locally' and was showcased at CES 2026. In March 2026, it raised over $10 million on Kickstarter within 5 hours and a total of approximately $2.95 million (with 2,093 supporters). The starting price is $1,299-1,399, with expected delivery in August 2026 (manufactured by Lcfc with production lines in Vietnam). On July 30, 2026, it announced a Series A funding round of tens of millions of dollars (led by Shunwei, Matrix, Qiuqiu, Yunque, Gobi-ALI HK, BV Baidu Venture, and LightL2F). Previously, in 2025, it had also raised tens of millions of RMB in a seed round led by Guangqi Capital.
