钟超，柏垠生物创始人，现任中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院研究员、博士生导师、合成生物学研究所副所长、材料合成生物学中心主任，定量合成生物学全国重点实验室副主任；国家杰出青年科学基金获得者，国家重点研发计划合成生物学专项首席科学家；2014–2020 年任上海科技大学课题组长、研究员（2019 年晋升常聘教授），此前在华盛顿大学与麻省理工学院合成生物学中心从事博士后研究；天津大学学士、北京化工大学硕士、康奈尔大学博士。
