About

Raysolve (镭昱半导体) was founded in Suzhou, China in 2019 by Zhuang Yongzhang, with a core team from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at HKUST; that same year it unveiled what it describes as the world's first monolithic full-colour QD Micro-LED microdisplay chip in Silicon Valley. Using its proprietary quantum-dot photoresist (QDPR) process and large-wafer bonding, the company builds full-colour Micro-LED microdisplays and light engines (the PowerMatch®1 series) for AR/MR near-eye displays, with an 8-inch-wafer production base in Suzhou Industrial Park and an office in Hong Kong. A second product line targets optical interconnect. Prior backers include Source Code Capital, Gaorong, Glory Ventures, Weihao Innovation, AAC Technologies, MediaV Capital, 37 Interactive Entertainment's venture fund and miHoYo.
