Simple AI, founded in 2024 in San Francisco and part of Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch, builds voice AI agents that handle inbound sales and support calls for businesses, using real-time customer data to personalize conversations and take actions such as placing orders. It was co-founded by Catheryn Li (CEO, who previously led software teams at Y Combinator) and Zach Kamran (who previously led product for YC's Bookface). It raised a $14M seed round led by First Harmonic in February 2026. Not to be confused with Beijing-based embodied AI company Simple AI (深朴智能).
