Valtec is a maritime AI and drone company founded in 2023 by former US Air Force geospatial intelligence analyst John Keh. Based in San Diego with offices and R&D, flight-test and training sites in Tokyo, Taiwan (Taipei, Kaohsiung, Chiayi) and Leyte, Philippines, it builds the Larus VTOL fixed-wing drone, which launches from moving vessels, and the Fulcan AI platform, fusing bird radar, sonar, satellite data and drone imagery to help commercial tuna fleets in Taiwan and the Philippines find fish faster with less fuel and time at sea. It is deployed on 40+ vessels.
